Whether you’re new to our school or a longtime Gibbs Elementary School family, we want to provide the resources you need to achieve success.

This is a central hub for students and families to easily access information for navigating the school and school day, including enrollment, student handbooks, information about schedules, extra curricular activities, and more!

Enrollment

Gibbs Elementary serves students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. 

Enrollment hours for students who are new to the district are from 7:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. on full school days and during specified office hours in the summer months. Enrollment must be completed in person by a parent or legal guardian.

Daily Schedule

At Gibbs Elementary, the school day begins at 7:45 a.m. Students arriving after this time are considered tardy and must check in at the front office. Dismissal begins at 2:45 p.m.

On-site, after-school care is provided by Kids Place and begins immediately after dismissal. Families may also choose from additional programs offered in the community. 

On scheduled half days, students will dismiss at 11:15 a.m. Buses will run their regular routes, but lunch will not be served on those days.

Kids Place is Gibbs Elementary's only on-site after-care provider, but several other organizations offer pickup and transportation to off-site programs.

Extracurricular Activities

Gibbs Elementary offers several after school and extracurricular opportunities. Through these clubs and others, students have the opportunity to expand their classroom learning, get to know peers with similar interests, and explore new skills.

Library

Library / Media Center

Our library is a hub for student learning, reading, and discovery. In addition to the school library, teachers may maintain individual collections of age-appropriate books in their classrooms to support literacy and foster a love of reading.

Support Organization

Gibbs Elementary is supported by a strong network of parents and teachers. They organize events, fundraisers, and activities to enhance students' educational experiences and foster communication between parents and school staff.
