About Us
Gibbs Elementary School is located in Board of Education District 8 and KCS Region 4 and is a reward school.
The school is part of the larger Gibbs High School community, which was founded by O.S. Gibbs and other local leaders who donated land. A new elementary school was built across Tazewell Pike in 2007.
The mission of Gibbs Elementary School, in partnership with the home and the community, is to develop responsible, independent, life-long learners who are productive citizens in a changing world.
